All Impacts
Overview
All Impacts is the one place to see every impact for a district or school at once. Instead of opening each score type on its own, you get them side by side: MAAP, K-2, Inclusion, Gifted, Feeder, Compacted, and SPED, all for the same year and period. It is the wide-angle view when you want the whole accountability picture rather than a single slice.
For a district, All Impacts also lists each school's impacts under the district's, so you can scan the district and its schools together.
How impacts are generated
It helps to know where these numbers come from. As your score files process, Equity Analytics rolls the individual scores up into impacts:
- An impact is computed for each owner (district, school, or teacher), for a given assessment definition, score type (MAAP, MAAP-A / SCD, K-2, Gifted, Inclusion, Feeder, Compacted), and subtype.
- Split schools and non-traditional high schools (those spanning middle and high grades) produce separate middle and high impacts plus a combined "main" rollup. The middle and high parts are graded as their own subgroups: each computes its own components independently, and the main impact is the weighted combination. This is why a split school's high-grade measures can read very differently from its middle-grade ones.
- Impacts are (re)built by a job after files are uploaded. Re-running it updates the same impact in place rather than creating duplicates.
Each impact then breaks down into the measures described in Impact Components.
Where It Lives
- The All Impacts tile on a district or school page opens the combined view.
- You can filter by year, nine-week period, and grade (including greater-than, less-than, and clamped grade ranges).
- HTML, PDF, and CSV exports are available.
How To Use It
- Open All Impacts from a district or school page.
- Pick the year and period you want.
- Filter by grade when you need to focus on a band.
- Export to PDF or CSV to share or archive the full set.
What Data Feeds It
All Impacts reads from the impacts Equity Analytics has already calculated:
- Every score type's impact for the selected year and period is gathered into the one view. See Impact Components for what each measure means.
- For a district, each school's impacts are pulled in alongside the district's.
It updates as new scores process and impacts recalculate.
Common Questions
- How is this different from the impact view? The impact view focuses on one score type at a time. All Impacts puts every score type together for the owner.
- Why is a score type missing? A score type only appears when there are impacts for it. A district with no Gifted impacts, for example, will not show a Gifted row.
- I want one grade band only. Use the grade filter to narrow the view before exporting.
